In a world first, free period products have become a legal right in Scotland.
According to the new Period Products Act, public settings such as community buildings, chemists, libraries and
public swimming pools, will be required to provide sanitary products for those who need them.
A mobile app called PickupMyPeriod will make products easy to find and home delivery will also be available.
Is this the beginning of a global movement in removing access barriers o sanitary products, and equity issues such as Australia's pink tax? We certainly hope. Which country will be next to follow suit?
