One in six of our children will grow up in poverty

Anti-Poverty Week is calling on all our Parliamentarians to commit to halving child poverty by 2030.

Over three-quarters of a million children live in poverty, diminishing their lives now and in the future.

Children living in poverty have lower school completion rates and scores on national tests such as NAPLAN. Students who live in poverty also experience more social exclusion at school than their more advantaged peers.

You can help urge Parliamentarians to introduce measurable targets and actions by signing an  anti-poverty pledge, taking a photo of you holding it, tagging it and posting it on social media.
