The mid-winter ball attended by our politicians got pretty hot.
I’m talking about the anti-coal and gas protests by some fearless females.
Claudia Perkins, the partner of Greens leader Adam Bandt, wore a white gown emblazoned with the words “Coal kills gas kills” in black and red.
Greens Senator Sarah Hanson Young also chose the event to display a planet positive message on her long, white dress, “End gas and coal”.
According to the Canberra Times, Greens Senator Lidia Thorpe did not attend the ball as an official guest but arrived wearing an Aboriginal flag t-shirt and yelled “stop destroying our planet … criminals!” before leaving.
