What are vision goggles?

When you are an entrepreneur you are going to hit many challenges. So how do you keep going, even when the going gets tough?

It’s all about having a strong sense of vision that you are aligned with.

So, put on your vision goggles and look into the future. What exactly are you heading towards?

It’s the why that will get you out of bed every day, no  matter how hard things get or how tired you are. This is your vision and it will keep you pushing forward.

Every good entrepreneur works out of a triangle – knowing how to do the job, knowing how to manage your people and, importantly, knowing how to build the business or product.

But the last one can only be done when you are in tune with the market and the vision.

When you are thinking like an entrepreneur, avoid the common mistake of obsessing over the product or service you are creating.

Rather, you should be obsessing over the market you are targeting – what is the problem you are solving or the pain point you are addressing.

Keep talking to your market and make sure your product or service is aligned to them.

Of course, there are other ways to keep yourself on track, and these include staying abreast of industry developments and building your skills and networks.

You must also celebrate your wins. It gives you momentum.

Journalling is one way to keep a record of how far you have come, especially if you refer to your notes often.

Finally, take comfort in the discomfort. Take comfort in the discomfort. Growth comes from being uncomfortable.

Jump off that cliff and build a parachute on the way down.

Yes, there is loads of  preparation you can do and should do before you start a business.

But there will never be a perfect time to take the leap, so just take the first step.

And remember to have your vision goggles firmly in place!

Keep yourself connected.
